Russians continue to dominate the list with 14 of the 46. And I am aware of a number of others who just have Sidley to do.
The total numbers continue to escalate (whether Russian or otherwise). The average age of the claimants is around 45 years – at a guess this is probably greater than the average age of seven summiters (but I could be wrong!). 30 of the 46 were 40 years old or older at the time of their completion, though of course this does not tell you when they started.
As ever, if anyone has any information on people who are attempting the Volcanic Seven Summits (or who have climbed at least 10 of the 50 most prominent mountains in the world), I would be happy to hear from them via the contact form on this site.
