In 2022 my brother, Derek, cycled much of the way down the Andean chain. He posted a video on YouTube and I blogged about it here with a link to his video. Now, in September 2025 he has undertaken another epic ride with two friends. This time he has explored the Rockies by bike.
They followed the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. It stretches from Banff in Canada to Antelope Wells in New Mexico on the border with Mexico. This covers a distance of over 2700 miles and was undertaken by them in 51 days.
They encountered wide open spaces, spectacular mountain scenery, forests, autumnal colours and wildlife.
